Stream your desktop videos to Android TV.
Keep your collection on your computer and browse it from the couch. Connect the desktop and TV apps once, then choose a video with your TV remote.
Install both apps
Download the desktop app and the Android TV APK. On your TV, download the APK with a browser or downloader, allow installation from that app when prompted and open the APK to install it.
Connect your devices
Sign in on desktop. Open the TV app and scan its QR code, or open videoparty.app/activate on your phone or computer and enter the displayed code. Sign in with the same Google account and approve your device.
Enable TV playback
On desktop, turn on Allow playback on my TV. Keep your computer and TV on the same trusted home network, with the desktop app open and your computer awake.
Pick a video on your TV
Browse your shared collection with the remote. Video Party prepares compatible TV copies up to 1080p while keeping the originals unchanged. Video codec and TV compatibility still apply.
Want to watch with your computer switched off?
If your account has cloud access, choose Sync to cloud on an ordinary video and wait for the upload to finish. That cloud copy can then play on TV without your computer. Cloud storage is optional and available by invitation. Hidden and VR videos are excluded from TV playback. Apple TV streaming and playback and streaming from iOS and Android phones are upcoming, with no release date announced.
